Watch the Tread Depth
Once tread wears down to 4/32″ or less, stopping distance and wet or snow traction drop off fast. A quick quarter or tread-depth check tells you if it’s time to replace.
New or inspected used tires in winter, summer and all-season, from brands you trust. Repair, rotation, mounting, balancing and alignment are all done under one roof by the team at Arman Fine Auto.
Once it stays below 7°C, all-season rubber hardens and loses grip. Book your changeover before the first snow rush.
Tires are the only thing between your car and the road. With hot summers and icy winters, the right tire at the right time makes a real difference in safety and handling.
Once tread wears down to 4/32″ or less, stopping distance and wet or snow traction drop off fast. A quick quarter or tread-depth check tells you if it’s time to replace.
Ontario winters call for dedicated winter tires below 7°C, because all-season rubber hardens and loses grip in the cold. Summer or all-season tires take over once the snow clears.
Cracked sidewalls, uneven wear, slow leaks or tires over 6 years old are all signs to have them inspected. Small issues caught early can often be repaired instead of replaced.

Quick answers before you book.
Once temperatures consistently drop below about 7°C, winter tires grip significantly better than all-season tires. See our seasonal changeover pricing above.
Yes, we offer both new and used tires. Every used set is inspected for safety before sale, which makes them a great budget-friendly option for older vehicles.
We properly seat and balance your tires to eliminate vibration and uneven wear, for a smoother ride at highway speed.
We carry Continental, Bridgestone, Goodyear, Michelin, Nokian, Pirelli, Toyo and Yokohama, in winter, summer and all-season options, with more brands on the way.
Mounting and balancing a full set of four starts at $140. The final cost can vary slightly by wheel size and tire type, so we always confirm a firm quote before any work begins. See our service prices.
The best brand depends on your vehicle, driving style and budget. We carry trusted names for everyday commuting, all-season durability and performance driving. When you book, our technicians match tire specs (size, load rating, speed rating) to your exact vehicle and recommend options that balance price, grip and tread life.
Not automatically, but we strongly recommend it. New tires wear unevenly and lose lifespan on a vehicle that’s out of alignment. Ask about adding a wheel alignment when you book your installation.
A full set of four tires typically takes about 45 to 60 minutes to mount, balance and inspect. If you’re combining it with a seasonal swap, rotation or alignment, plan for a little extra time. We’ll give you an estimate when you book.
Coverage depends on the tire brand and model you choose. Most manufacturers back their tires with their own tread-life and workmanship warranties. Ask us about road hazard protection when you book so you know exactly what’s covered.
It depends on the size, location and depth of the damage. Punctures in the tread area are often repairable, while sidewall damage, large gashes or a tire that’s been driven on while flat usually mean replacement is the safer call. Bring it in and we’ll give you a straight answer. Tire repair starts at $50.
We keep our tire pricing competitive and are happy to look at a quote you’ve found elsewhere. Bring it in or mention it when you call and we’ll see what we can do. Our pricing includes in-person support that online-only retailers often charge extra for.
Budget tires are a solid, affordable choice for shorter-term driving or older vehicles, while premium tires typically offer better wet and winter traction, a quieter ride, longer tread life and stronger warranties. We’ll walk you through the trade-offs so you’re not paying for performance you don’t need, or skimping on safety you do.
We don’t currently offer on-site tire storage, but we handle your seasonal changeover and can advise on storing your off-season set at home: clean, dry, out of direct sunlight, and stacked or hung properly so they’re ready next season.
Loosen the lug nuts slightly while the tire is still on the ground, then raise the vehicle with a jack until the flat is clear of the pavement. Remove the nuts and the old tire, mount the spare, and hand-tighten the nuts in a star pattern before lowering the vehicle and fully torquing them. Drive cautiously on a spare and get the flat inspected soon. See the complete flat tire changing guide.
Go by the recommended PSI on the sticker inside your driver’s door jamb or in your owner’s manual, not the number on the sidewall (that’s the tire’s maximum pressure). Check it at least once a month and before long trips, ideally when tires are cold, since PSI drops as temperatures fall.
Use the quarter test: insert a quarter into a tread groove with the Queen’s crown facing down. If you can see the top of the crown, your tread is at or below 4/32″ and it’s time to shop for new tires. Check several spots, since uneven wear can point to an alignment or rotation issue. See our tire replacement guide.
A sidewall code like P215/65R16 95H breaks down as: P (passenger tire), 215 (width in millimetres), 65 (sidewall height as a percentage of width), R (radial), 16 (wheel diameter in inches), 95 (load index) and H (speed rating). Matching these to your vehicle’s recommendation keeps handling, braking and fuel economy where they should be.
Replace them once tread reaches 2/32″, the legal minimum in Ontario, though most drivers benefit from replacing closer to 4/32″ for better wet and winter traction. Age matters too: tires should generally be replaced around the 6-year mark even with tread left, since the rubber degrades over time.
Sometimes, but replacing tires in pairs or as a full set is generally recommended to keep handling, traction and braking balanced. A single new tire paired with worn ones creates uneven grip, which is especially noticeable on all-wheel-drive vehicles. Our team can advise based on your tires’ current wear.
Whether a flat can be repaired depends on where and how large the puncture is. Plug-and-patch repairs are generally allowed for small punctures in the tread area, while sidewall or shoulder damage usually means replacement. Our technicians inspect it first and tell you which is safer.
Every tire has a DOT number on its sidewall, and the last four digits give its age: the first two are the week of manufacture and the last two the year. For example, “2419” means the 24th week of 2019. Tires degrade with age regardless of tread, so it’s worth checking even on tires that look good.
Winter tires use a softer compound that stays pliable in the cold, with deeper tread and more siping to bite into snow and ice. All-season tires use a firmer compound built for a broader temperature range, but lose grip as temperatures approach freezing. If you regularly drive in snow or ice, dedicated winter tires offer meaningfully better traction and stopping distance.
Most vehicles should have their tires rotated every 8,000 to 10,000 kilometres, or roughly every second oil change. Regular rotation helps tires wear evenly, last longer and handle consistently. See our tire rotation guide.
